Today was Amber’s baby blessing. It was beautiful and simple and sweet. We love our Amber so much.
She wore the dress that Grama Leslie made for all of her granddaughters’ baby blessings. This was its third go-round, and I’m pleased to say that Amber did not poop or barf on it. I have to admit, I was worried about destroying a family heirloom. Whew, now I can give it back to Steph for her future daughters with a clear conscience.
We forgot to get a group picture at church, so we did it when we got home and Dan and Leslie weren’t in it. Boo. But we loved having my Mom, Dad, and sister Mel here for the day. I love it when family gets together to celebrate a baby.
She loves her Daddy already. I don’t blame her!
The girls: both grandmas, an aunt, her mother, and her sister all with Amber on her day.
Jay took this one. It may be my favorite.
There’s something about having special family events around Christmas. Jeff and I got married in December. Amber’s baby blessing was in December. Some people don’t like having too much crammed into the Christmas season, but I say pile on the goodness! The love multiplies extra fast on special occasions at this time of year and I just bask in it all. Plus, I’d say an eternal family is the best thing to celebrate alongside the Savior’s birth.
