Naptime

Rose is SUCH a 2 year old. Stubborn to the core if you catch her in the wrong moment. The crazy thing is how willingly she takes naps. She’s a champion napper. From 2pm to 4pm every day she calmly lays down and goes to sleep without any issues. The problem recently has been bed time at night. She’s been coming out of her room over and over with different needs and excuses for an hour or more after bedtime for the past few nights. It’s like working overtime for us parents! Arr! So I cancelled her nap yesterday and today. It was probably a bit too drastic.

As I was finishing today’s Star Wars blog post, I was coaxing her to go use the potty before she had an accident. She finally went, after 3 rounds of “do you need to go to time out?” As usual, she came out of the bathroom bare-bummed, carrying her shorts and  undies. As usual, I told her to put them back on. As usual, she resisted. After a few minutes, she finally started to comply but then decided against it when her shorts were half way up. She laid there ignoring my suggestions to pull up her pants. Then she got really quiet. The next thing I knew…

When Jay saw her, he said with a giggle, “Rose is not very modest over there.”
