Family pictures

The phrase that strikes fear and dread into every kid's heart: IT'S TIME FOR FAMILY PICTURES. And let's be honest, it strikes fear into every husband's heart too! My sister Em took a few quick family pictures for us while we were at the lakehouse this month. Considering we did these family pictures a good hour after the kids' bedtime (it's all about the lighting!) we were quite pleased with how they turned out. Em decided to become a professional photographer less than a year ago, and we all think she's pretty amazing.

Cousins first:

 The posterity picture: 8 grandbabies for my parents.

 The kids were not paying attention so Jeff got behind Em and started doing an incredibly LOUD Hakka type shout and it definitely got them to look. Poor baby Derek was a tad alarmed!

 Amber harnessed the Trixie look with her hair curls.

 Rose loves attention! And she's the most beautiful five year old I've ever seen. Jay and Amber escaped and got ice cream sandwiches from Grama before Em got a hold of them for individual pictures, so Rose was the star of the show.

In July ten years ago, Jeff proposed to me. Happy faces all around! Em took our engagement pictures back then and this most recent picture.
