Lake part II

Our last day at the lakehouse was Thursday, July 7th. We made the most of it:

 Popcorn on the porch

 Sisters playing

 Tired faces

 Teasing

Water fight! It was chilly and cloudy that morning, but the kids wanted to get in the lake one last time. 

 Refilling in the hardest way possible.

 Amber sat happily on that step for a solid half hour, dipping the wrong end of her water blaster into the lake periodically, observing the antics of her older siblings.

 I like these flowers.

Rose with the double squirt! Bahaha! Slightly inappropriate mom humor alert! I couldn't help it--the double water shooting out like that reminded me of breastfeeding. I was cracking up on the sidelines.

When everyone was chilled to the bone and ready to get out, I made them stand shivering in front of the lake for a quintessential lake face picture. They were shivering so hard I'm surprised the picture was in focus! I felt a little bit bad. They wouldn't look or smile in that state, so I told them to say "STOP TAKING PICTURES OF US, WE'RE FREEZING!" while I took pictures. That got some good grins. 

Kids in life vests are alllllmost as cute as kids in snowsuits.
