Merry Christmas! It's 10pm on Christmas Eve and my tired 30-year-old bones are sitting awake with Jeff, waiting to stuff the stockings until the kids (aka, Jay) are for sure asleep. I have a whole stack of fat folders full of photos begging to be posted, but I don't have the words to do the stories justice tonight. For now here are some pictures of the kids in their festive Sunday clothes from a quick photo shoot I finagled after church back on December 11th. [Can we say picture backlog?] Anyone with kids knows that 12:30pm on a Sunday after 3 hours of church is quite possibly the worst time to get kids to sit still, but I ended up liking these wiggly pictures of my sweetfaces better than serious/posed ones. Holiday cheer is here! I love having kids at Christmas!
I say: "Jay, hug your sisters." He hears: "choke hold!"
I say: "Rose and Amber, hug Jay." They hear: "dog pile!"
Amber is such a little character.
Oh, and here's our Christmas card. We mail cards to family members, non-social media folks, and people who send us cards. We also hand out a big stack of cards in person at church (no addressed, stamped envelope necessary). I had to figure out a way to set limits on our yearly mailing because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to mail merge and print address labels from the computer. Every year I've tried, it's taken me twice as long as it does to just write the addresses by hand, so last year I stopped wrestling with the computer. It's hand addressing all the way, so those self-imposed limits are necessary. I mail the cards to people who fit the above criteria, and then post the picture on social media for everyone else. I hope that's not too tight-fisted and Scrooge-ish of me, but there it is.
We Whites love our ten minute photo shoots!
Merry Christmas!
