Tuesday, December 20th dawned cold and gray--par for the course on our anniversary. We had a temple-lunch date all planned out, with Grampa Dan coming to watch our kids and everything. Going to the temple TOGETHER is my favorite way to celebrate our anniversary. Usually we have two anniversary dates: a trip to the temple and another date to the movies. We rarely go to the movies--most years our anniversary movie is the only movie we see in theaters, so it feels extra-special. Problem: on the morning of our anniversary, Jeff woke up feeling yucky. Rose picked up a fever somewhere and though it was brief, it didn't leave her without passing itself around the family. Jeff's turn was on our anniversary, so we postponed our temple date till everyone is healthy.
Ten years necessitates more than a lunch date to celebrate, so we have a Big Date coming up soon too. Yes!
In honor of our ten years together, I scrounged out two series of pictures: one picture of Jeff and myself alone together per year and one family picture per year (aka 2 pictures for each year).
It's amazing how few pictures we take of just us together--really only about one picture per year until 2016. We have close to ten pictures alone together from 2016 .Unheard of! For each year, I chose my favorite picture that was taken the closest to December 20th. I really had to hunt for a couple of these!
