This morning was one of those mornings where I sit down to eat breakfast after my run, and all at once, Rose starts crying and Jay grabs at everything on the table, pokes Rose in the head, and climbs up the side of my chair moaning “bite? bite?” asking for a bite of my toast. So much for a nice, quiet 15 minute meal and scripture-study.
It was a loud, defensive meal with a few scripture verses hidden in the middle. I think I read something about turning the other cheek. By the end of breakfast, all my cheeks had been turned a hundred times! As I was feeding Rose I just sat back and counted till I felt calm again. I made it to 30 and then Jay interrupted. So I patched up my worn-out emotions and reminded myself that the joy these little cuties give me outweighs the impossible moments by a ton. Here are some happy moments:
Rose isn’t a big fan of her jumper, and she hasn’t had much practice jumping in it. Jay took it upon himself to show her how to jump. I think she got it!
And I finally got Rose’s chuckle on video. She isn’t the giggliest girl right now, so it takes a good mood on Rose’s part and lot of work on my part to coax out her Hearty Chuckle.
Sigh of peace. Now Jay is at the park with Jeff, and Rose is asleep. Was that noisy, emotional morning today?

I love your kiddos, they are just so darn cute! And I totally know how you feel, there are just some mornings/days that where you feel like you can't even think because of all the mommy needs... but yes, it IS absolutely worth it :)
