While we were at the beach last week, I was determined for us to finally get a GOOD family picture, because we really have never managed it. We always take pictures with the tripod and a remote control trigger for Jeff’s camera instead of a person. That’s probably why it’s been so tricky to get a good one. Plus we don’t really know how to pose. Or dress—3/4 of us were in bathing suits. Oh well, one of these WILL get framed in spite of all that.
The children were NOT in the mood for pictures. Rose kept keeling over into the sand with the silliest look on her face, and Jay kept trying to run to the ocean.
Right before this picture, I was leaning over being goofy to get Jay and Rose to smile. Well, it worked…mostly.
And that’s all we managed. One of these years we’ll admit defeat and seek professional help. But so far I don’t really mind our odd, silly, impromptu family photos.
PS I found sand in Rose’s ears 3 days later while we were at church on Sunday.

I think the one with you guys holding them (and everyone it looking at the camera)is a winner!
I love those random family pics! They are almost always the best :) Such a cute family!
