Technical difficulties

For the past 5+ years, I have been using a program called Windows Live Writer to do blog posts. It's a convenient free-downloadable offline blogging program: you craft a post and then upload it. Yesterday Google suddenly rejected this beloved program. Google made some confusing mysterious changes so nobody can use Windows Live Writer to do blog posts anymore. I looked it up but the explanation doesn't make much sense to my non-technological mind (something about API changes, whatever those are). Because of their changes, I have to change too. I don't like it when technology changes, Dumb, I know, in this day and age, but why can't we just keep our old school programs if we want to? If we try to keep the classics, they eventually perish along the wayside. Annoyed doesn't begin to cover how I feel about this change.

I'm on the hunt for a replacement blogging program but there isn't much quality available. I am currently using the blogger website to post, and it is NOT user-friendly for two big reasons:
  1. If the internet crashes or gets interrupted, posts get zapped or deleted. I know this because I used to use the blogger website to do posts waaay back when and it is impossibly frustrating!
  2. The photo tools are very limited. I can't rotate images. I can't position pictures where I want them to go. I can't even custom re-size pictures! ARGH! Instead I have to use one of four preset sizes and three positions. And if the image is sideways? Sorry, you're out of luck.
Bottom line: It's harder to post and the posts are uglier.

I'll keep looking for a better posting program, but for now, BLAH. I'll try to keep my tone cheery and normal, but if the sarcasm or irritation picks up a bit, you'll know why.

How about a cute baby bath to make up for my cranky post?
