Jeff turned 33 yesterday. Happy birthday to him! Can you believe this sunset? I love the view from our porch.
Same view, zoomed out.
For fun, I filled out a kid birthday interview for Jeff as a silly surprise. I had to ask him what his favorite animal and favorite princess were, but did my best guess on the rest. I got his super hero wrong--it's a tie between Captain America and Batman, not Superman. Oh well!
Jeff requested bacon mushroom Swiss pizza for his birthday dinner. The cashier at Safeway about swooned when I told her what I was making with the ingredients. I managed to outdo myself and made a decadently delicious pair of pizzas.
But first it was present time! Jay and Rose picked out gifts for Jeff: a package of Reese's from Rose and a waterproof phone box from Jay, ha ha. I gave him some movies (boring but dependable gifts) and he gave himself a soldering kit (aka he picked it out and I ordered it).
Amber gave him the movie Pete's Dragon on video cassette (we found it at Goodwill). That face says it all--reunited with a childhood favorite.
We did some Wii dancing, had dinner, and then had the local family over for birthday brownies.
This is the part where I would insert a Jeff-Shaina selfie, but alas, we rarely take selfies. Just remember: I love that guy and I'm glad he was born!
